During the first session of the Open Dutch Championships in Eindhoven, Mike Maris and Tamara van Vliet below the target time for the European Youth Championships in Helsinki swim. Tamara swam the fastest youth series to 26.62 in the 50m freestyle and dived 0.02 which is just below the target time for Helsinki. Tamara has a welded in the time trial in Amsterdam swimcup already qualified for the European Youth Championships, but knew that now so neat to bestigen. Jovanna Koens and Femke Leenstra were respectively 26.90 and 27.19 still short of the target time EJK. Possibly it tonight in the finale can show something special and different they may as 1st year youth swimmers next year another attempt.

At the 200m medley in boys youth knew Mike Marissen has yet to qualify for the European Youth Championships. In Amsterdam Swimcup he came just short, but this morning he put 2.6.04 on the clock and remained neatly within the 02/06/56. He may so for the 2nd time to the European Youth Championships at this distance, last year he arrived in Prague to the semifinals.

During the first session of the ONK there were not many more times spectacular to report. Most of the favorites kept themselves visible and placed himself with great ease for the finals. Some notable absentee in an A-final, Bas van Velthoven in the 50m freestyle. With 24.03 in the series he was only 12th.

To begin 16.30uur the B-finals, followed by the A-finals 17.15uur. These races can be followed on the Live Timing page of the KNZB
