EDF's Paris Open
Next weekend is almost the entire Euro-selection at the start of the Open EDF in Paris. Bathing in the open pool Lagardere Paris Racing, located in the Bois de Boulogne. Main attraction is 14-times Olympic champion Michael Phelps and more naturally the Frenchman Alain Bernard, Olympic champion 100 free in Beijing. Assets on the Dutch side are Ranomi Kromowidjojo, Femke Heemskerk and Sebastiaan Verschuren .

For Femke Heemskerk , the EDF open the second international meeting in 10 days. Last week she made the Setti Colli-games in Pescara impressed with gains in two parts. On the 100 free she defeated in 54.19, an improvement of the race record of Fran Halsall in 2008 (54.27), the Swedish Alshammar (54.77), who triumphed in the 50 free in the world season best time of 24.27. Femke Heemskerk is the fourth edition of the Open EDF on the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle . Last year she won the 200 meters and was behind Libby Trickett second in the 100 meters. Her big opponents in the 200 free including the Frenchwoman Coralie Balmy and American Alysson Schmitt.
The Dutch men's Sebastiaan Verschuren European perspective, the highest recorded. On the 200 meter freestyle, the current number three (1.47.10) in Europe to do with Michael Phelps and the French super talent Yannick Agnel (1.46.35).
Michael Phelps will continue even at the start of the 100m freestyle, which he will duel including Alain Bernard, 200m medley and 200m butterfly. Another beautiful poster is the 50m freestyle in the men's Frederick Bousquet which it will take against Cesar Cielo.
