KNZB The absolute highlight of the first finals at the Open Dutch Championships was the Dutch record of Femke Heemskerk in the 200m backstroke. With 2.11.48 it finally appeared under the already 26 year old record of Jolanda de Rover. Jolanda came in the final of Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 1984 to 2.12.38 and then clinched the Olympic gold.
The race today was on the 1st 100m Femke good opposition from Wendy vd Zanden. After the 1st 50m there was a slight advantage for Wendy to 31.62 against 31.95. After 100m was Femke langzij came and she turned to 05/01/43 (33.47) just for Wendy. In the 3rd 50m Femke took away from Wendy (split 33.18) which further expand with a very strong last 50m (32.87 split). For Wendy was ultimately 2.14.52 and silver, bronze for Mariët Koster with 2.17.47.

The second Dutch record came (at least for the speaker) is completely unexpected in the 200m medley with the ladies. Long before the rest of the field from continued Lieke Verouden 02.15.35 on the clock, which is an improvement from the old record of Femke Heemskerk meant to 0.17 second. The reaction of Lieke was obviously significant, but it took a minute or 2 and some comments to the speaker before he knew to announce to the rest of the bath. Lieke Verouden on Twitter: Yoohoo : D ! NO!!
The youth went into the series title to Marjolein Delno . With 2.23.23, she went to take a piece from the EJK target time, but (thanks to the comment below from Steven) in the final managed it! With 2.21.44 she swam under the target time of 2.21.67 and thus may also Marjolein towards Helsinki.
Silver was there for the youth Merle Verkijk in 2.25.77, bronze for Rachelle Visser 2.26.34.

The 3rd and last Dutch record was for the 4x200m freestyle relay team of E.ON-NZA. Looking at their enrollment time about 15 seconds under the old record was total NO was not waiting, but of course the men were still there for swimming. With 1.51.87 for Joost Reijns , Bas van Velthoven for 1.51.84, 1.50.38 for Stefan de Die and 1.50.81 on Sebastiaan Verschuren did they fully meet expectations and is the Dutch record as of today 7/24/90.

The other distances:

400m freestyle men
Sebastiaan Verschuren 3.52.71 was a class apart. In the 2nd half he put the rest of the field behind. Arjen van der Meulen was 3.57.46 with the number 2, Joost Reijns did with 4.1.24 just before Stefan de Die and the winner of the youth Ferry Weertman remain . Ferry won the youth with 2.4.71. Dreesens Dion , at the Amsterdam Swimcup already qualified for the 200m freestyle had to settle for silver 04/04/38, 08/04/90 with Frenchman Kevin Cabo put the 3rd fastest time.

Women's 400m freestyle
A thrilling battle for the silver and bronze did eventually place for 2 to 3 for place Marieke Nijhuis and Marion van den Berg. Winner was obvious Rieneke Terink, with about 6 seconds ahead 4.17.43 Marieke had. The times for the numbers 2, 3, 4 and 5: 4.23.01, 4.23.45, 4.23.65 (Andrea Kneppers) and 23/04/66 ( Elise Bouwens ). When the youth went to the title Marjolein Delno (4/31/01), for Rosanne Schoonbeek (4.32.90) and Kim Loeffen (4.37.29).

Men's 200m backstroke
Previously was Nick Driebergen tipped for the title and eventually he also win, but he had to brisk swim to Jurjen Willemsen from her account. The difference at the finish: 0.97 seconds. 2/1/74 Nick put down, Keith arrived in 2.2.71. Henk van Niejenhuis won the bronze in 07.02.24. When the youth went to the title Sverre Eschweiler with 8.2.02, for Arvid Munsters (09/02/01) and Sven Kardol (02/11/76)

Men's 100m Breaststroke
Alexander Dale Oen won with 1.1.76, a new championship record, insofar as no surprise. But Bram Dekker 01/02/85 with the silver suits would Lennart Stekelenburg and Robin Aggele (both 1/3/15) is a surprise call. It gives him no place higher rankings on the eternal, then he remains the number 7, but he is now only 0.10 behind the best time ever by Ron Dekker.
The youth unfortunately no outliers and no EJK estimated times for Roy Smeenge or Gavin vd Werf. In the morning they put the best two lap times with 5.1.10 and 5.1.64, in the afternoon, she was a small improvement with 4.1.71 and 1.5.34. The number 3 among the youth was with Jordan Kraaijenhof 01.07.73. It is striking that all 3 men are from 1993, the first boy of 1992 we find on site 5 with 1.7.88.

100m breaststroke Women
For the series hoped Monique Nijhuis what it would be better than the Mare Nostrum in Monaco. After the series she loved another blow to the arm and she was expecting faster times among other Loes Zanderink, But when the golden LED lights to jump in the finals yet again that 'just' to Monique. And with the 1.10.59 she could have been very satisfied. Loes Zanderink was at the finish still beaten by Lia Dekker . She won the silver in 1.11.10, Loes was third in 1.11.15.
When the youth went to the title in 1.14.27 Lonne Dijkhuis, for Yvette de Gier in 1.15.44 and 1.16.47 in Suzanne Brummel.

Men's 200m butterfly
No doubt the champion on this issue, Joeri Verlinden 2.00.73 was by far the strongest. Fabian Beimin picked on the 1st 50m a few tenths ahead of Wouter Houtman and deletes to the end to hold. So in 4.2.02 Fabian Silver, bronze for Wouter in 2.4.48.
The youth was Maurice Soudant to 100m in the wake of Mitch Notten. In the 2nd half of the race he had to pay for quick opening, however, and so did Nick Pereboom yet over. Mitch gold in 2.11.10, Niek silver in 2.12.02, Maurice bronze in 2.14.20.

Women's 200m butterfly
Despite the top 8 placements in youth were a total of only 7 swimmers on the 200m butterfly and thus a direct final. It knew of Sharon Rouwendaal the Dutch record for 17 year olds to improve to 2.14.71. Mick van Schaik was proper distance in 2.19.36 the number 2, Marloes Oldenburg continued with 2.22.02 the 3rd time on the clock. In only 2 youth participants and thus both a medal. Gold for Merle Verkijk in 2.22.35, gray Christel Vinke in 2.37.30.

Men's 50m freestyle
Gold for Robin van Aggele in 23.16, for Sebastiaan Verschuren in 23.36. January Kersten did a super start just not sustainable to the end and had to settle for bronze and 23.49. Major shifts relative to the series and last year, because the number 1 in the morning Timon Evenhuis was only in the final 8th and last years champion Arjan van der Plaat was only to win in the B final in 23.98.
A clenched fist after the series confirmed that Mark Costeris was satisfied with his youth title, Menno Manning and Joost Groeneveld. For Mark, there was 24.11, and 24.40 for Menno Joost 24.44.

Women's 50m freestyle
In the absence of Hinkelien Schreuder a rather easy victory for Ranomi Kromowidjojo. By 24.67 she remained Femke Heemskerk and Ilse Dykes 0.70 and 1.03 for. When youth as previously reported for gold Tamara van Vliet in 26.62, silver Jovanna Koens in 26.90 and bronze for Femke Leenstra in 27.19.

Men's 200m medley
After the 100m breaststroke medal here number 2 for Bram Dekker and this time a gold. His butterfly and back are perhaps not yet at the same level as his breaststroke and front crawl, but a sufficient basis to 05/02/09 with the title. Silver and bronze went eventually Sebas van Lith and Mike Marissen , after Devi Wolthuizen because he was disqualified after the backstroke on his back had not tapped. Mike Marissen handle in the morning also the title of youth with 2.6.04, for Jens Bakker with 02/09/30 and 02/11/33 with Philippe Rivard.

Women's 4x100m freestyle
By order of the team Eiffel Swimmers PSV seemed to 200m have an exciting fight to be with the team of AZ & PC. But third swimmer Clarissa van Rheenen and Maud van de Meer left there eventually be no doubt that, despite the absence of the absolute best Marleen Veldhuis , Ranomi Kromowidjojo , Hinkelien Schreuder and Inge Dekker , the absolute number 1 were: 3.47.99 against 3.53.70. AZ & PC thus knew the dolphin just to keep the silver, as Lona Kroese was still very close: 3.53.74 ....

  1. I think with Marjolein Delno 2.21,44 EJK met the threshold of 2.21,67. Or am I wrong?
