400wissel ladies: nice progression Lieke Verouden
Since Lieke Verouden in Amersfoort swim she seems a clear path to the top to have found. Unfortunately for her is the limit for the European Championships in Budapest on the 400wissel a Dutch standards absurd 4.44.12, 4.49.55 but she knew Sloterparkbad a new record dropping. 200wissel gentlemen: strong time Bram Dekker , mission Mike Marissen not yet succeeded
That the level of competition this year is much higher than previous years is reflected in the number of job records which was swum. Also on the 200wissel of the men killed the record what was the name of Robin Aggele from 2007. Robin came to 2.1.35, now it was Simon who Sjoedin 01/02/32 just a fraction faster. Beside him on stage with Federico Turrini 02/03/56 and a remarkably strong Bram Dekker with 3.2.62. He had his personal record yesterday in the 200m breaststroke tightened already thick and did it today at the 200wissel also. Just last year, 5/2/88, now a time well below 2.04. 01/02/52 Budapest was necessary.
100vlinder ladies: Inge Dekker beats world record holder Sarah Sjoestroem
After the series seemed already to be a battle between Inge and Sarah, but of a struggle in the final was really no question. Right from the beginning Inge took the reins and turned already 8 tenths Sarah after 50m. On 2nd 50m knew Sarah still 1/10 to steal from, but of a comeback as they did on the 200vrij this time was no. Inge won clearly in 58.47 (neatly below the limit of Euro 59.12), Sarah was 2nd in 59.10. Kimberley Vandenberg was also just below the 59.80 minute, Annika Mehlhorn fell with 1.1.49 and a very disappointing 8th place.
