Amsterdam Swimcup Today was the first day of the Amsterdam Swimcup and immediately yielded a number of strong Dutch performance. This morning there was already direct a new Dutch record for 14 year olds for Maaike de Waard . By 30.32 she was again slightly faster than last Sunday, when she had put NO at 30.74. Unfortunately for her she was born in 1996 and therefore not entitled to participate in the European Youth Championships. That honor must now leave them next summer to Sylvia Thick . She swam 30.38 neatly under the required 30.59. Tamara van Vliet and Kira Toussaint came to 30.72 and 30.81 net deficit for the EJK limit, but we can tomorrow in the 100m backstroke another chance.
Regarding the team for the Youth Olympics in Singapore fell in the series even though a limit to scoring for Sharon Rouwendaal . They swam directly below the limit of 2.2.36 and 2.3.47 improved later in the finals to 02/01/32. That final was surprisingly in the last 50m won by Sarah Sjoestroem (1.58.41) for Femke Heemskerk (1.58.81) and Inge Dekker (1.59.58). Femke had already obtained protected status and will therefore go to Budapest this summer. For a relay is no limit set, Jacco Verhaeren will determine whether this team at the start may appear. Candidates for broadcast outside Femke and Inge than Sharon, Rieneke Terink (01.02.78) and the winner of the B-final today Bouwens Elise (01.02.60). Possibly supplemented the team can then also be supplemented with Ranomi Kromowidjojo, which already has been nominated for the 100vrij Budapest.

50vlinder men: only 2 Dutch but both on stage
About 2 tenths remained Joeri Verlinden removed the limit for Budapest, he remained only 0.04 away from the gold. That went in 23.91 to Jason Dunford of the ADN team from Italy, for Yuri in 23.95 and Robin Aggele in 24.13. They were the only 2 Dutch participants in a finale that further big names as Evgeny Korotyshkin, Steffen Deibler, Fabien Gilot and Peter Mankoc contained. Too bad the organization is not decided yet B-finals in order to add the upcoming Dutch talents the chance to be awarded in a final further.

50school ladies: Monique Nijhuis has protected status not required
It was obvious last year that the fast suits especially in breaststroke fat profit. Therefore there could not be expected that Monique Nijhuis around would come from its Dutch record of 30.38 in Rome. With 31.65, however they remained below the limit of Euro 31.77, so she had her protected status last year not even need to qualify for Boedapet. And because 50school as special pricing program was regarded by her victory also earned them another 250EURO. In these final 3 Dutch participants, Tessa Brouwer and Lia Dekker were 7th and 8th respectively in 32.58 and 33.20.

200school gentlemen: Lennart Stekelenburg clearly the fastest
In the series Lennart swam to 2.15.31 and there was the hope that the finals would be a bit harder. Unfortunately that did not come out and he had to settle for 2.15.65 "only" victory. Thijs van Valkengoed reasonably knew to stay away from Lennart, though he had something to give ground every 50m (30.23-34.15- 34.98-36.19 against 30.90-34.30-35.42-36.33 for Thijs). Frederico Franciolini ruined in the last 50m the Dutch party by just 0.03 for Devi Wolthuizen to finish.
Devi gave after the series, quite disappointed with his 2.18.60, and 2.18.59 in the final, he was probably not much happier.

1500vrij ladies: Leonie van Noort best Dutch in 4th place
The longest distance was in the ladies won by Sarah Koehler 17.02.90, followed by the Giulia Fusco in 17.12.88 and 17.33.06 in Julie Ann Wessler. Leonie van Noort 17.35.18 had to settle for 4th place, but improved her entry time by around 10 seconds.

400wissel gentlemen: Here the 4th place for Davy Verreusel
Like the ladies 1500m was the fastest men in the 400wissel series in the final swim program. It also Davy Verreussel since Robin Aggele the distance a bit left has left the strongest in the Netherlands. With 4.29.44 he was in any case today, but beyond a 4th place this time brought him. Federico Turrini won the race in 4.20.09, Simon Sjodin could be on the fast opening 100vlinder not keep up and was 2nd in 4.21.52, Daniel Mayer took place in the morning series 3 with 4.28.89.

50rug ladies: Hinkelien supreme
In the 50m backstroke was Hinkelien Schreuder supreme. With 28.80, she won the race marked, Jenny Mensing and Anja van der Hout were 29.63 and 29.88 the numbers 2 and 3. By 28.80 they also confirmed as its protected status for the European Championship, because that was exactly the time limit set for Budapest. Unfortunately, again no B final and no additional opportunities to EJK limits.

200rug gentlemen: Very strong performance Nick Driebergen
Also, Nick had already obtained protected status in his pocket on the 200m backstroke, but like Monique and Hinkelien he had subsequently not required. With 1.58.70, he showed that he too quickly without suit below the limit for the EC could. That limit was a matter on 1.59.49. And where 250EURO makes off with Monique went to the ladies, there was also such a sum for Nick to play for his victory.
