Amsterdam Swimcup Internationally, the Dutch ladies swim very highly regarded. The women's relay team dominated for years on the 4 × 100 meter freestyle and during the last major tournament title were the ladies invariably account for multiple medals in several disciplines. It is therefore logical that many good foreign swimmers to the Amsterdam Swim Cup would come to himself on high-level testing. This provides some interesting numbers.

100 meters butterfly
Sarah Sjöström from Sweden is the absolute highlight on this part. She is world champion and holder of the world. This record was nine years in the hands of Inge de Bruijn and survived a long time the suits revolution. Sarah Sjöström will have to compete with Inge Dekker . Sjöström Although great strides over the past year has put the Dutch should be considered capable of defeating her. The participation of the experienced Annika Mehlhorn (27) is worth mentioning, the German took last summer at the World Championships in Rome semifinals in the 100m butterfly. The team from Marseille also has an experienced butterfly swimmer registered. Diane Bui Duyet, 7th in 50m butterfly at the World Championships Rome, do in Amsterdam participated in the 50 and 100m butterfly.

Breaststroke Numbers
Competition in the breaststroke songs for the ladies is great. Lia Dekker and Monique Nijhuis , the Dutch honor to uphold. But there is here strong foreign competition. For example, Chiara Boggiatto (ITA) and Caroline Ruhnau (DUI) in the 100 meter school. The German is predominantly European Champion 100m breaststroke short course. She beat last december Monique Nijhuis in the final, Nijhuis won silver. Boggiatto has won several tournaments, swimming finals at the end. On the 50 meter school Kerstin Vogel (DUI) a kanshebster. She was 11th in this event during the last world championships in Rome. Sophie De Ronchi (FRA) is the French asset numbers on the breaststroke. She already has two medals at short track championships. Topping the entry list in the 50m breaststroke, however, a Dutch. Monique Nijhuis was 4th at the World Championships last summer in Rome.

200 meters backstroke
Nationally, the 200 meters backstroke very interesting. Firstly, this is some distance with the current generation of swimmers have failed to break the old National record. Jolanda de Roover won Olympic gold in 1984 at this distance in 2.12.38. This record still stands. The second reason for this distance to view the competition between a large number of Dutch swimmers. Femke Heemskerk , Sharon Rouwendaal and Wendy van der Zanden all want love to be the first to the time of de Roover breaks.
