Joeri Verlinden know in a new Dutch record of 49.86 and third place for the final of the 100m butterfly. Only Peter Mankoc (49.62) and Ivan Lendjer (49.67) were slightly faster in the semi-finals, world record holder Evgeny Korotyshkin and Nikolay Skvortsov were 49.94 and 49.97, just slower than Verlinden. By that time of 51.54 improved Ranomi also the Dutch record of Marleen Veldhuis , who swam in the 2008 Short Course NK Amsterdam to the old top time of 51.74. Inge Dekker remained with her time just above her PR 0.01 in the morning. Detail in the story is that Ranomi in its familiar LZR while Inge started in Arena swim. 4x50m medley knew the gentlemen were a number of places to improve, unfortunately, remained a medal out of reach. With 1.32.94 they were finally on the 5th, at 0.81 seconds from the bronze of France. The gold went to the Russian team after a world record in the series now also swam a world record in the final with 1:31.80. The 200m medley title in the men went to Austria in the name of Markus Rogan. He improved the European record of 1.51.72 with Laszlo Cseh with thick one second. In the breaststroke, he knew his position and also some improvement in the clearance, he and No. 2 Vytautas Janusaitis the fastest. Both men swam the front crawl 2 jobs at the same time of 26.94, the rest of the field did not fall under the 27seconden swimming. Laszlo was after back but was still the No. 1 in the second half of the race a lot and was eventually admitted to 1.54.31 only seventh.
In the 50m clearance was mainly the fireworks of French men expected and that was partly true. Frederick Bousquet won the 50m freestyle in 20.53, just above the European record of his compatriot Amaury Leveaux of 20.48. Drag Duje Anja took the silver with 20.70, 20.84 with Sergey Fesikov.
